Have 2 new Humax PVRs, both of which are having Mega problems! On one, the guide hasn't fully populated all day and on the other, all is filled other than BBC 1 & 2 Wales. The obvious one is movement of the aerial in the wind if it is on the roof. If it is in a loft then have you moved stuff around in the loft or put more stuff up there? I'm suspecting an internal battery may have gone as this seems to fit the behaviour, but I'm surprised upcoming programs would be stored in memory and not on the drive? So would I expect my drive, when formatted by my laptop and then reinstalled, to be formatted again in the Humax? After selecting reserved programmes using the GREEN button, press the RED button. Select Yes and press the OK button to delete the recorded programmes. Note: · If the protect option of the programme is set to Enable, you cannot delete the programme. Please refer to 7. 1. 4 Changing the Attribute. · You can delete multi programmes except for the protected programmes. · When Deleting Recordings please ensure that only the recording(s) that you wish to Delete are selected. Unselect any Recordings by pressing the GREEN button.

The PVR's user interface has all the graphical charm of an NES platformer, which we quite like, in a retro way. The machine is pretty user-friendly so evenconfirmed technophobes will feel quite at home with its operating logic, after learning its foibles. Features As part of the upgrade, the electronic programme guide (EPG) will now load in seconds rather than minutes. Actually there are several members of the fair sex on here who are clued up on PVR technology and like ourselves have seen a good part of the 20th century. In any way can't Lastmanuals be held responsible if the document you are looking for is not available, incomplete, in a different language than yours, or if the model or language do not match the description. Lastmanuals, for instance, does not offer a translation service. Humax is very aware that, for several months, some customers have been experiencing a slowdown in operation and usability issues with our PVR models.I have the 9150T with original 160GB hard drive. Owned the device for a number of years now and it still suits my needs, however I am starting to run out of disk space and am interested in replacing the hard drive with a larger one. Also hidden is the little button that skips forward however many seconds you prefer. ie the one you use to bypass the ad breaks. Again a button so rarely used it is OK to hide it away.... I live in N.Wales which is undergoing transmission problems, but this has been occuring for days now.

I've only ever used standard drives as upgrades and never had a problem. The CE or AV drives are cheaper to manufacture as they don't have the same error correction and are generally slower and have less cache. Ironically they tend to be more expensive retail and at one time it was difficult to get hold of them. Thanks again, but I am reluctant to try all the suggestions as I am 75, and 'though I consider myself computer literate, I forsee getting into a helluva mess! One note : I have a PVR9200 and have changed the disk over. It is quite particular about the disk it will accept : it has to spin up within a certain time or it is rejected (ignored). The installation process isquite straightforward but ratherslow. The PVR searches out available stations before allowing you to delete those that hold no interest -- and you'll probably find there's quite a few of those on Freeview. You don't really want a 7200rpm or faster drive as they'll generate more heat and be louder. 5400 or 5900'ish is more than fast enough, go for one with as much cache as possible, which uses as little power as possible and has the longest warranty at the cheapest price.I'm reasonably computer savvy, just wanting to preempt any problems before I hit them, so any advice is welcome.
