This book is so well written and although its subject is perhaps difficult to imaging being so entertaining and witty, the author brings it to life with charm. We also begin to see some chapters in Keller’s perspective, and we experience how he fell in love with Kate.

I do like seeing how other people address our universal challenges, but I didn't find anything unique here.In Chasing the Bright Side, Jess Ekstrom will motivate you see your challenges as opportunities to learn and grow and believe the best is yet to come. There are chapters that were very good but in my opinion too much was made of his famous best friends, mentioned with every breath. The book could have been quite a bit shorter, which would have increased its relative amount of interesting material, if Idle had worked with a collaborator to edit these name-drops.

This book made me laugh out loud while I was sneak-reading at my kid’s Open House at his elementary school. I have always loved the Monty Python boys, and their work, but if hard pressed I would usually declare myself a Michael Palin girl.Bright, charming, funny *and* sad, this is an in-depth look at one year in the life of a woman on the verge of breakup, while dealing with family issues. Most of all, in a year when so much is upside down for so many of us, I found her honest memoir so validating. Bradbury had an exceptional working life, as an editor of major news publications - but her personal life was more fractious, and in 2015 it imploded. Despite the difficult situations described in its pages (and yes, I did shed some tears), there's good stuff that counterbalances the bad too. It makes you think that although life expectancy is increasing, what little have we to look forward to as our health declines and we may be awaiting our death.
