Witty, provocative and intelligent, the Erotic Review has made sex the subject of many a chattering class dinner party. In 2002, World of Books Group was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. And where one woman would be, in my opinion, detrimental in the ER editor's chair, a pack of them would be catastrophic. From romance and seduction to downright dirty deeds, here are prize-winners, bestsellers and rising stars, each of whom prove that when it comes to the bedroom, a little fiction goes a long way.

Back in 1997, journalist Pelling became editor of The Erotic Review, a monthly collection of titillating prose and images. Felix liked the magazine and I think he wanted to give it a go, but it's quite a hard magazine to publish for a company of our size. THE EROTIC REVIEW BEDSIDE COMPANION brings together the best contributions from the magazine's archives, as well as providing plenty of new material for its faithful devotees. And when you consider its origins – launched in 1817 in response to the "unblushing subservience" of competing newspapers to the Edinburgh establishment – the fact that it is now largely responsible for the continuing success of the Erotic Review is not entirely surprising. She added that it will be devoted to "sex for the connoisseur, and more about really good writing than anything". We have a semi-incumbent dominatrix, a sexpert and Tilly the Secretary (I put that one in just to irritate feminists). It has been out of the limelight for a while, but now The Erotic Review is back, aiming to push back the boundaries of censorship.

Read through our tips, hints, and information on collecting books signed or inscribed by the author or illustrator. The articles cover a range of topics, from the snake in Eden to cybersex and Lara Croft, drawing on themes from aphrodisiac to fetishism, and relationships to prostitution. A spokesperson told us: “He used to stay in a hotel near Marble Arch but he found it’s cheaper to stay at a club in Mayfair, seeing as that’s expensed as an MEP. When I was doing The Erotic Review, the internet was a brave new world and it was hard to compete with.Erotic Review was founded in 1995 as a monthly newsletter for the publisher Erotic Print Society (subsequently Erotic Review Books). I am a qualified psychotherapist and the author more than 40 books for adults and children and I was inducted into Who’s Who in 2014.

Copstick, a 48-year-old former journalist, is determined that the relaunched magazine will be unequivocal. All money raised will relaunch and redesign the world of the Erotic Review; print the magazine and pay our contributors fairly; and build our online presence and membership structure, laying the foundations for the entire project. These often tell a very different story to the PR that filters through to the media about modern pharmaceuticals.
