I really think making all the Rails out of the same midsole material as the rest of the shoe, and maybe DNA Loft foam a touch firmer than here would help the experience leaving the Adrenaline for those who really need heavier duty support. In terms of feel, it’s a softer and slightly more flexible sensation underfoot over the Transcend 7 to elevate your comfort out on the road. It isn’t the fastest or lightest but it will almost certainly become my next go-to trainer for the next 1000+ kilometres. This includes a full ground contact outsole with strategic zones of harder wearing rubber and super plush full-length DNA Loft cushioning. As a neutral runner, I didn’t feel any extra elements to the shoe compared to the Glycerin 18 for the majority of my runs - in the 4-6 mile range.

Your foot sits a little bit deeper inside this shoe and you get that assistance with that arch support. The shoe is put together well and its heightened level of cushion and plushness will allow these to last for a long time which is good because the Transcend 7 is ideal for long distances. The medial GuideRail is now co molded BioMoGO DNA instead of being glued in (glue layer contributing to the stiffness felt) with the lateral GuideRail a raised side wall of the same DNA Loft as the rest of the midsole.

What sets it apart is the GuideRails technology of the midsole – a support system that reduces the rate of pronation to align your body into its most efficient motion path. You have GuideRails in the Glycerin GTS 19 and you have a neutral support system in the Glycerin 19. Like the Glycerin series, the Transcend is a relatively adaptive shoe in nature and is a great option for runners needing stability but something that isn’t obstructive or overly firm. The Transcend series has seen some ups and downs over the years but the Glycerin 19 GTS has had a real makeover.

I’m going to compare it to the Glycerin 19 which is a neutral shoe that has nothing changed from the medial side to the lateral side. While below the rail the shoe was flexible where it needed to be to transition well for me, higher up along the rail things slowed down and created a feeling of a hitch in moving forward.

It stays on top of that platform for a secure fit and feel as you transition through to midstance to your release point.

That should tell you something as we all pronate some and I think few need extreme measures of control,, Yes some do but I feel motion control is if you will "over prescribed". I tried adjusting the tongue and then lacing my shoes differently, but I still had that issue with the left tongue.
