This book begins like a story I wrote when I was 16yo after a Harlequin binge. The mfc is a child-like,fragile type who also happens to be a supermodel 🤨. Shehas a sister who is an A-list actress 🤨. The mmc is Bezos rich and part of a dynasty 🤨. He makes sure that anyone who hurts his bestie, the mfc, will "never work in this town again" 🤨. It was stupid silly start. Okay, I have to confess that about 40% in I had to take a peek at the epilogue cuz I need the assurance that there’s truly an and Raven. LOL! Raven is very selfless and she is the kind and gentle one always allowing others to walk all over her which just makes someone like me love 🫶🏼 her character all that much more because I want that Hero to slip in and be everything she needs ♥️ This was a good start to a new series. And I love all the Windsor siblings so I’m happy to know that they each will get their own story. It was a (slow burn 🔥) for those who like those types of stories,and fare warning; for those readers who happen to dislike those types of stories … as I’m aware there are plenty of you guys going around. And yet being one of the latter - as mentioned above, I can say there was saving graces of hints of sexiness all around to sate the parched pallet… fortunately, thank you Jesus 🙌🏾 🤭 Ares and Raven were always friends but you could tell there was a huge barrier 😞 between them and it took until almost the end of the book for the huge secret 🤫to be revealed as to why Raven always had a wall up. Don't worry, I'm not going to spoil that surprise for you 🤐....just know, it's good!Although the storyline was a little repetitive in my opinion, I could see where the writer was coming from in regards to Raven and her insecurities. Ares putting up with Hannah's antics and indiscretions, yet he still wanted to marry her was very frustrating. Throughout, he's true feelings for Raven were evident and couldn't be denied. The last few chapters were gripping and the reason why my headphones were glued onto my head until the early hours of the morning. Sleep...who needs it, right? But don’t worry, he supposedly had feelings for the h the whole time 🤡 he just didn’t quite know it 🙄… he’s just so so romantic 🥴 besides, the ow kept cheating on him and he just laid around with her because “He DoEsNt LoVe HeR” 🫢🫢🫢 The Bad: The drama was so OTT it was ridiculous. The h being a doormat and the H being so dang confusing. The H…so beta he makes doodlebugs look like bugs of steel. His grandmother tells him to marry so marry he does. OW slithers out so in comes the heroine. Vows celibacy and devotion to the h only to have OW show up with tears in her eyes so he takes her to dinner….THE NIGHT AFTER THE WEDDING! He is faithful, but the evil OW has his number. He's a nice guy in general, and thinks he loves the heroine. Bizarre turnaround at the end and after all the sister's machinations come out he declares he never ever loved her so what's the deal?

Tropes: Arranged Marriage, OW Drama, Sister's Ex Fiancé, Best Friend's Brother, Friends to Lovers, and Billionaire Romance. I fell in love with all of the Windsor siblings and can’t wait to read about their stories, which are apparently even better. I’m also not convinced that ‘he loved her all along’ line. That was too unbelievable with all the ‘Hannah Hannah’ chanting. Push/Pull: Yes the h pushes away a good bit and I'd say the H is the main pursuer of the relationshipOverall Pace of Story: Not the best. I skimmed a good bit for the last 1/4ish because it dragged and I no longer cared all that much. I also enjoyed that even though she had a fam0us sister 🎭 and a Billionaire husband 💰 who was also famous due to his family, Raven was successful all on her own👏🏼 She took pride in everything she did. Like authors please if you can't write the "it's always been you " trope correctly don't freaking write it at all you are ruining it , especially this author because she did it in Bittersweet Memories as well and ruined it there too Yeah, I don't wanna know what my sister sounds like when she's having sex with the "love of my life" What a weak “hero”. 🙄 we are told that he loves the sister so much that the thought of marrying his best friend (her sister) is insane to him. Yet this is the same girl that he can’t stand to go without talking to and has sexy dreams about. Then without much of a fight on his part, they go through with the wedding and then like a week later he is confessing how much he loves her? Gag me.
