I didn't like all of them, and I did eventually outgrow them; I'd realized even back then that a lot of Wilson's books are rather samey. As a teenager she started work for a magazine publishing company and then went on to work as a journalist on Jackie magazine (which she was told was named after her! Si el libro fuera más largo para haber podido ver más evolución de los personajes y un final más cerrado creo que le habría puesto 5 estrellas, pero me han faltado cosas para quedarme contenta.

I also think that this is why she thinks he can fix everything, because she thinks fixing her problems is about as likely as meeting an extremely famous, reclusive author. Llevo arrastrando el querer leer este libro desde que estaba en secundaria (al final nunca me decidí a comprarlo y el otro día lo vi en la biblioteca y tuve que llevármelo). I always remembered loving her book Girls in Love, but clearly I was obsessed with Midnight as I just kept creating content in this reading log that revolves around the book. Violet can’t help thinking that someone who has created such a beautiful fairyland, would easily be able to conjure up a solution to all her problems. She's got this loud-mouthed, pompous policeman father who bullies her mother: I knew Mum longed for a proper girly daughter to confide in.As I mentioned before, I think this book is great for Halloween, it is spooky and would be great for that time of the year. Will and Violet start playing 'Truth and Dare' and Will asks Violet that if she could have a love affair with any one, who would it be, so Violet said Casper Dream. One of Jacqueline’s most successful and enduring creations has been the famous Tracy Beaker, who first appeared in 1991 in The Story of Tracy Beaker. Violet has always been in the shadow of her mesmerising, controlling brother Will, and when a shocking secret about Will's past is revealed, things get even worse. I think Will needed a lesson that could make it a more solid impression that he would behave better in the future.

Double Act won the prestigious Smarties Medal and the Children’s Book Award as well as being highly commended for the Carnegie Medal. Last Christmas, Violet found out that Will her brotherwas adopted when Will was rude to their gran and Gran said something about bad blood. I chose a 4 star rating because it is definitely for older readers as there are some very interesting and 'grown up' bits. The only thing that maybe bugged me was that you never got to find out whether Will changed or not but I think I'll ponder over that myself. She has written over 70 best-selling books, and several have even been adapted for TV – most famously The Story of Tracy Beaker.Violet loves Will and tries desperately hard to show him that even though he's adopted, he's still part of the family. But then you’d look again and wonder if the witch was simply a sad old woman cowering away from taunting children intent on playing tricks on her. accept if you are a very mature ten or eleven year old ,like me -I am ten ) (no joke ) so all in all read this book or my four unicorns will take everything pink and fluffy or watermelon associated. I started reading this book in bed, looking forward to unwinding and tiring out my eyes for a good nights kip, however, within pages I was rigid, on edge and terrified for the safety of main character, Violet.

She understandably hasn't got a lot of confidence having always felt so dominated by Will all the time, so has trouble at making friends. Will has discovered a shocking secret about his past that is making his behaviour even more strange and dangerous. Sobre los personajes, odio el comportamiento bipolar y sádico que tiene Will, y me da igual las escusas que el libro le quiera dar para justificar ese comportamiento de mierda que tiene. He has an unpredictable behaviour, some moments he’s incredibly patient while other times he won’t even bother holding a conversation, but it’s consistent throughout the book that he enjoys torturing and manipulating Violet into his twisted games - admitting that ‘they’re all for [his] delight.
