Description

THORNIT is an awesome product that is easy and safe to use in dissolving ear wax and t reating mites, all over the body. THORNIT is a powder that you simply apply to the outer ear (avoiding the entrance of the ear canal) and massage from the outside.. As the ear wax dissolves, the ear mites die, and your canine’s ear will be healthy and clean. To treat mites on other parts of the body, simply shake powder onto the affected area. Your dog will experience relief after the first dose, but you should continue treatment for up to 5 days, using the powder twice a day The powder works rapidly when massaged gently just inside the ear surface, acting to eliminate wax caused by troublesome ear mites. Martin Lewis: Do you have a Power of Attorney? It’s crucial protection – not just for the elderly – and more important than a will In both cases the SYMPTOMSare scratching, head shaking, rubbing of ears on the floor and general distress. There can be red sores, imflammation and blood clots caused by constant scratching. The standard treatment of drops and antibiotics provided by vets gives only temporary relief. If you feel your pet has mites, do NOTClean out the ears and do not remove the wax before you dust the ear with thornit as under normal circumstances, powder should not be put into the ears and the wax acts as a cork. TREATMENTJust apply a pinch of powder and lightly dust around the innder ear avoiding the ear hole. Gently massage in with your fingers from the outside. Apply twice a day if your pet is infected and continue for 1-5 DAYS. Immediate relief comes with the first dose. When the brown wax starts to move, stop the treatment as this means the mite is dead. You can then gently clean out the ear.

I just put a pinch of thornit in my dogs' ears every couple of weeks and never worry about mites causing them horrible ear problems. As THORNIT does not contain antibiotics, it is safe to apply at home and can be used in your weekly health routine to keep ear wax at bay.

FAQ

Thornit can also be used for stripping hair from ears — apply a half teaspoon to the hair which makes it much easier to finger pull the hair with it coming away easily. A must have for all pet owners. An awful lot of owners have never heard of thornit but it is widely used amongst show owners as the only prevention of mites they need. To clean your pet's ears: Never use cotton buds to clean your pet’s ears, you could do some serious damage. Clean your pet’s ears outdoors, or in a room where mess doesn’t matter, as they will probably want to shake dirty drops out of their ears! Use a good veterinary ear cleaner which comes in a bottle with a dropper at the end of it. You should aim to drop between 5 and 15 ml (1 tsp to 1 tbsp) into your pet’s ear, depending on the size of your pet. You need to get the liquid right down into the ear canal, so gently massage the area underneath the base of the ear. You should hear the liquid squelching if you are doing this correctly. Massage like this for about 20 seconds. Many of our products are covered under the manufacturers’ guarantees and therefore we have little control over warranty product replacement/repairs.

Cleaning gently with THORNIT EAR POWDER may help (especially dogs who hate ear drop cleaners) If your dog is has smelly or itchy ears – Try THORNIT EAR POWDER. Many customers have told us that they have used THORNIT and dogs love having their ears cleaned this way This amazing, over 100 year old formula is made up of ingredients that are carefully balanced to help battle ear mites For breeds with long ears it is advisable to dip the ends of the ears in Thornit Canker Powder once a week. If the animal drags its bottom on the floor and if it's not anal gland trouble, the mites could have made a breeding bed under the tail. Treatment: Apply a tiny amount of animal skin cream to the finger of a glove and dip into the Thornit Powder. Apply just below the tail where necessary. I have been using Thornit on my Labrador now for 4 days. He has had ongoing ear infections for most of his life which I have spent a fortune on with various vet prescribed washes, drops and oral antibiotics, none of which have helped. So I thought I would try this. The wax (well brown yukky stuff) seems definitely to be drying up slightly, but there is still a lot of moisture when I massage his ear. The texture is changing to a more treacle like consistency. My question is (a) how long does this normally take to work and (b) do I need to wash his ears out with ear wash whilst treating him with Thornit? If your pet is pulling its bottom on the floor and it is not a gland problem, then mites may be breeding under the tail.TREATMENTJust apply a tiny amount of cream to your finger and dip in the thornit, then apply just below the tail. Any excess moisture can be gently mopped up with a cotton wool swab. DO NOT REMOVE WAX. Under normal circumstances powder should NOT be put into the ears, but brown wax acts as a cork.
