Description

Moto G8 (stylized by Motorola as moto g⁸) is a series of Android smartphones developed by Motorola Mobility, a subsidiary of Lenovo. It is the eighth generation of the Moto G family. The G8 Play and G8 Plus were first released in October 2019, [1] only 8 months after the previous generation. Other variants were released in March and April 2020.

The phone’s availability is a bit up the air, however. While you can buy it in the UK now, there’s no word on a US release, and an Australian release may not happen at all, since the company only seems to bring a random smattering of its devices to that country. DesignIf a fairly basice smart phone is needed from a good manufacturer then don't hesitate at the current prices offered. Read full review The macro camera is a lot of fun to play around with. It’s capable of capturing intricate details on the smallest objects – such as tiny blossoming flowers or the 5p coin seen below – from just 2.5cm away. The standard Moto G8 can get ever so slightly closer, with a macro distance of 2cm. As compared to a bass response on a single speaker, based upon internal testing against Motorola and selected competitive single-speaker smartphones. Results may vary. If you’re familiar with the design of any of Motorola's G8 line of phones, you’ll know what the Moto G8 Power Lite looks like, as they’re all very similar looking, although the G8 Power Lite also borrows some design elements from the Moto G7 line.

I absolutely love this phone. I have had Apple and Android phones in the past but there is just something loveable about the Moto G8. The Moto G8’s camera software is straightforward and easy to use. There are four main modes of shooting: standard, bokeh, macro and panorama. Besides that, you’ve also got a beautifying slider – presumably for blurring out undesired details on selfies – and the HDR toggle. A CPU core is the processor unit, which executes software instructions. Presently, besides single-core processors, there are dual-core, quad-core, hexa-core and so on multi-core processors. They increase the performance of the device allowing the execution of multiple instructions in parallel.

RAM (Random-Access Memory) is used by the operating system and all installed applications. Data in the RAM is lost after the device is turned off or restarted. Good points: its easy to use, switch it on and follow the helpful instructions/hints. No experience necessary- just like Apple used to be. Nice clean screen, small or large print Motorola does bring its own tweaks to the Android formula, mainly in the way of its gesture shortcuts – among other things you can make a double-karate chop motion to turn on the flashlight, rotate your wrist twice to open the camera app, and turn the phone up-side-down to activate do-not-disturb mode. The same applies to its gaming abilities. In our GFXBench Manhattan 3 test, the Moto G8 Power Lite managed an average on-screen frame rate of 16fps, dropping to 10fps for the offscreen segment. The Moto G8 and Note 8T both cranked out an average of 19fps for the offscreen element, and the Moto G8, in particular, excelled in the on-screen part of the test with an average of 34fps. Remember that the Redmi Note 8T has a much higher resolution display, which accounts for its comparatively weaker performance.
