Her success was so overly looked, she won, she played she was involved and they overlooked her like she was nothing. And it pained me, that the world saw her or her family name not of her own achievements. the party scene - where maeve caught him kissing emily. i love those type of scenes but once again the way the author wrote it LIKE SHOW ME THE TENSION AND ANGER not just maeve being like "im so angry " Charlotte lives in Rhode Island and when she isn’t writing spends her free time reading, at the beach, or snuggling with her Australian Shepherd. Money buys power, and power always has a price. The fear of those who already possess both? Losing it. The best way to ensure keeping it? Alliances. And elites don’t marry down—they marry equal.

PLEASE TELL ME THAT IRL AMERICAN TOWNS ARE NOT SO OBSSESSED WITH HIGH-SCHOOL FOOTBALL AND THAT THE RIVALRY WAS JUST THE STUFF OF BOOKS???? It bothered me more than I expected, not only because I’m far from Liam’s biggest fan. I wonder if I even would have noticed if she hadn’t already flat-out told me people only see her as her father’s daughter or her brother’s sister” This is an excellent novel for people who love to read because it has done an amazing job. The author expressed all the characters in a unique way that creates the impression that the reader is also part of the story and knows every detail of all the characters. This would truly be one of the most extraordinary novels. The author has shown great craftsmanship in the novel, this is extraordinary in every sense of the word, only the depth of this book is spectacular, not to mention the diversity and representation and quality of the writing and complex characters. Everything is simply outstanding. The author has shown the same level of skill in previous books such as. THIS BOOK SHATTERED EVERY PART OF ME. I loved it, it was filled with moments of fear of sadness, as a sufferer of daddy issues literally. I resonated with this book, she was overlooked so much, put second when she was just as amazing as her brother. And it hardened my heart that Wes was the only one supporting her, looking out for her. He showed her love, when her own father didn’t even show it.Why were her friends so shitty when they found out about Wes… I understand they were concerned but it was unfair of them to make her feel like she wasn’t important to him. They automatically assumed he would play her when they didn’t know him at all… Maggie was at least nice about it but LIVED in the rival town, why was she not more supportive.

Books like Throttled(Dirty Air) by Lauren Asher

Rylee Thomas is used to being in control. But she's about to meet the one man that just might make her enjoy losing it… What a nice contemporary romance! I wasn't really sure what to expect going in especially because I was getting Romeo and Juliet vibes from the synopsis, but I really enjoyed this book!I've heard a lot of things about Weston Cole. Popular. Conceited. Supercilious. He’s spent the last three years steadily dismantling my family’s legacy. I should hate him. And I did. Until I encountered him freshman year and discovered he’s also troubled. Captivating. Audacious. And when I come across him again senior year, it turns out that knowledge is even more dangerous than his suggestive smirk... Overall, I really enjoyed this book! While there were a few things I didn't love, those things didn't ruin the rest of the book for me. I liked the romance between Mauve and Weston and liked seeing them grow in the relationship. Little boy needed to grovel and grow tf up idc. Does he apologize? Eventually, but personally, it wasn’t enough after what he did and what he said. This was such a fun YA romance about two high school rivals that fall in love against all odds. I didn’t love the miscommunication/ third act break up, but then I had to remind myself that the MCs are in high school and what happened can be quite realistic. I also wished for some more development with the side characters! Still, I do recommend this and really enjoyed the book on audio! THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR Escape to the summer and feel the warmth of Paige Toon's storytelling Daisy has been dumped, unceremoniously jilted.

Kiss Now, Lie Later (Audio Download): C.W. Farnsworth, Amy

They confided in each other about the ways of the world, about the issues they faced, and I think if they had been any different in their characters their roles, they never would’ve shared it. I think there’s so much that goes off this by knowing they could be ruined with the information they told, but knowing the other wouldn’t. So, another perfect book by this author. It never happened for me before that I'm in love with all her books so far. This book started off strong! It started with how our main characters, Mauve and Weston, first met. I liked experiencing this moment rather than hearing about it later in the story. It was also kinda fun to see how the characters differ a little 3 years later. His friends were shitty too, they care more about the football game than how Wes was feeling. The boy was heartbroken and they told him not let it ruin the game??? READ THE ROOM Also, the fact that the twin-brother chastised the heroine and said she "could've let down his bestie easier" tells you all about the toxicity of this character. The fact that he gets his own love-story next bothers me.

Unfortunately, Piper’s promotion involves the charming cowboy she’s spent years attempting to avoid. And flying to middle of nowhere, Texas, in a desperate attempt to talk the king of country music into returning to the stage. What particularly peeved me that for all the intensity that the two opposing towns rivalry was depicted as - it only took a public loud drunken break-up, a heated apology, and a begrudging acceptance from Maeve's friends, to see that their rivalry was indeed petty, and that they truly were better off as friends and finding a balance between the two opposing sides. I think I was actually hoping for more drama or action to ensue after their relationship was brought to light - it felt very down-played and low-key, rather than the expectations of fear they had been harboring. Because, once their differences were settled, it mattered very little in the end, because when they do finally interact, it's apparent to everyone involved that there really is nothing that sets them apart from each other. 😔😔 I also had a lot of fun getting to know both characters' sets of friends. We don't spend loads of time with each group since our main characters are always sneaking away to see each other, but I appreciated the time we had with them.
