Excursions Festival Links Abene News Projects

This is an invitation to visit the village of Abene. I can help you organise your ideal trip and stay in Abene. You can choose and stay for a short or longer period before, during, after or totally outside the festival period.
Each year the festival generally takes place between 26 December and 2 January. However if you are specifically coming to attend the festival, please do email me so that I confirm that the dates have not been changed at the last minute.
I will try and answer your queries about the area and give you advice based on my personal experience.
You might want your holiday to include musical classes, including percussions and dance tuitions, excursions and the discovery of the way of life of the locals. The combination of programmes will be yours, whether you would like more or less hours of teaching, more or less relaxing time on the beach, more or less excursions.

You will be able to choose from djembe, dun dun, seourouba, talking drum and bougarabou as well as balafon, talking drum, kora, sabar for which I can help and arrange classes for you with a professional and experienced teacher.
Alternatively you may wish to learn batik fabric dying, woodcarving or even
traditional West African cooking which I can also help with on request.

Please contact me if you would like further information on how to travel to the village and any other advice for your trip.
