The bed guard must not be used as a substitute for a cot as it cannot provide the same level of safety. So they provide ample protection for the child and are really sturdy. There’s no way they’re falling out of bed with this on. But there’s still enough room at either end (obviously depending on where you position it) for them to get in and out themselves.
