However, it’s not all good news. In the set we were sent for this review, we found at least one carriage in each of the five player sets that featured a visible printing error - and in multiple cases, several cars from the same sets were affected. It’s worth stating that spare carriages are included, so it’s possible to play without using one of the misprinted miniatures, but given a set billed as being a premium offering - with a price to match - and the fact that these carriages are one of its headline features, it’s very disappointing to see. A térkép baromi nagy, az egész asztalt elfoglalta (6 személyes asztal), így a kártyák már el sem fértek, a vonatok is mellettünk voltak a dobozban, így viszont nem látszott, hogy ki hol tart. Ennek ellenére élmény a játék, de aki sokat szeretne játszani és nincs egy 12 személyes asztala, az szerintem ne ezt a változatot vegye. Ez inkább olyan kuriózum, befektetés. Kicsit olyan érzésem volt, mintha vettem volna egy versenyautót, ide a fővárosba. Baromi szép, baromi jó, de amúgy sem lehet száguldozni, nem csak a sebességkorlátozások és a lámpák miatt, hanem az út minősége miatt sem. Azert azt figyelembe kell venni, hogy ezt inkabb gyujtoknek szanjak, ha csak ugy siman jatszani akarsz, ott az alap hatmad ennyi penzert. Lehetett volna a dobozban több térkép vagy több extra dolog, így csak a menetjegykártyák jelentik a pluszt a játékélményben, ami szerintem nem egy hatalmas dolog. De akinek van megfelelően nagy asztala és nem sajnálja a pénzt annak tudom ajánlani, mert sokkal szebb az alapjátéknál.

Every aspect of the 15 th Anniversary edition of TTR Europe is bigger, better and brighter, right down to the score markers. The game will come with an oversized map at 97cm by 65cm, so about a third bigger. All the artwork on the board and cards had been revamped to the exacting standards of the discerning modern board game buyer of the roaring 20s. The game also comes with all 108 destination cards published to date so there will be no worry about mixing cards from expansions. I’d like them to have gone the whole hog and thrown in the depots from the 1912 Europa expansion, but sadly not.Great as that is, though, such titanic dimensions come with a few downsides. The board so big you can't easily (or at all) reach items on the far side of it. During my play sessions, everyone was constantly asking each other to place train pieces for them or draw cards. The downsides of all the nice bits in the box, and mostly the huge map, is the size of the box itself is thoroughly kallax unfriendly, being the beast that it is. It’s maybe designed as a bit of a collector’s piece in some ways, to be displayed as much as played – and the art upgrades are lovely enough to warrant that. We don’t usually worry too much about a game hogging your shelf space, but here it’s worth a mention for how entirely unwieldy the box is. If you’ve got an open space for it though, it’s a winner.

In this sparkly anniversary edition, the board features fantastic new detail such as mountain ranges, landmarks, settlements, boats, and even different weather. The whole board (and there’s a lot of it now) is just gorgeous. Adding to the beautiful map are the routes. These have been given the same treatment as the cards and now really pop, adding a splash of vibrant colour across the continent. This new design is sensational and there is just so much for you to look at that playing is even more enjoyable than before. These tins really make this feel like a luxury product, no unnecessary plastic bags or loose components, everything is where it’s supposed to be. This attention to detail is delightful and really elevates the standard even higher. The stations have also been given a new lease of life. Just like the trains they are now bigger and feel much sturdier and all-round nicer to hold and use. As before they sit nicely over the trains themselves and have coloured roofs so that they stand out proud. The entire box has been made larger to fit this new behemoth of a map in, and so it makes it a real focal point for your collection. However, because of its bigger size, it can feel a little empty, especially to those who are used to games like Gloomhaven, where the box is literally brimming with components. This 15 th Anniversary Edition feels more refined than other, more brutish games. The box is sleek, and the inside is carefully laid out with dedicated space for everything. The box insert itself is impressive, and even has special slots for each of the five-player tokens.
