This 7th instalment in the companion series is all about Grace and her 3 boys, needing to flee from a very abusive relationship and when she receives a letter from a solicitor in Heartcross, telling her about her inheritance of Heartcross Castle from her estranged grandfather, there's only one thing she can do to save her life and the life of her 3 children. Released on the last day of 2021 Heartcross Castle has already proved popular with readers and today I have the pleasure of sharing my opinion of the 7th book in this fantastic series with you.

I found this book a very heartwarming read and I really can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Reading ‘Heartcross Castle’ felt like being on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster ride with all the ups and downs, twists and turns.

Once again Christie Barlow has written an emotional and warm story with wonderful supportive characters.Then there is celebrity chef, Andrew Glossop who lives on the estate in the servants quarters and has his eye on the castle. Christie does touch on a difficult subject but she deals with it in a sensitive and compassionate way. She steals away with Freddie, Joey and Billy having finally stood up to Cole but at the back of your mind you do wonder will Cole rear his ugly head again?
