The back of the tent has no connector/toggle so it droops down a little making the sleeping compartment less spacious. This ultra lightweight tent can be paired with the OEX Expedition Tarp for additional shelter and storage, or pitched on its own to keep weight and pack size down on fast-paced, multi-day adventures. Tight fitting poles The tent itself is OK however the poles are a let down,you really have to bend them to get them to sit in place and when you do finally do get them.I do think anyone over 6ft should go for something else though, especially if you're a back sleeper that likes to straighten out. Obviously, room is sacrificed in the sleeping area - as a 5'6" slim female I felt I had enough space, but anyone above 5'10" might feel cramped. Purchased the Bobcat 1 as I needed a small packable tent for wild camping, pack's down really small. The insect proof net strip at the top of this door is also a very usefull inovation especially in conjunction with the built in ground sheet between the inner and fly, makeing a more practical space for gear storage.
It’s not quite as light as I was hoping but still much lighter than my last tent and it packs down nicely too with space for lots of other things in my rucksack! The option of putting the tent up ,inner and fly together for speed ,or fly first (when two smaller pack sizes are required) could be a big advantage in some situations. HH sold it for me, I've read post that this is very small if your over 6 foot but I am 5,6 and this fulfils my needs, the sleeping area is perfect but the porch is massive.
