In the most upright position, resting the arms on the straps just isn’t comfortable as the thin edge of each strap is abrasive. I personally find myself not using the “fully reclined” mode very often, as I prefer a more upright seat—about two-thirds of the way to fully upright is my ideal spot. Having sat on it for over an hour, I missed the back support a chair offers and was hankering for a shot in the Ultra Lite Chair but, as stools go, this one was solid, secure and as comfortable as you would expect. A light, tough and comfortable chair that packs to a very compact size, ready for hard or soft ground. All i need to do now is to find same quality like this to replace the rest of my kit and ill be sorted.

The Helinox Chair One is also pretty comfy and comparable to the Big Agnes, but it’s heavier and much bulkier. Was tight to assemble first time as many reviews highlight but mine is now more than a year old and is fine. I would say if you have never used the helinox one chair you will be impressed with this incarnation, if you have, may be not so much.
