The instructions are very good, very easy to follow, however we found that all the bags of components needed to be opened to find the correct parts. I was surprised by this set, not by the size of the box or the finished model, but by the size and quantity of the pieces. Easiest way is to place out all the parts and check them off in the book before putting it together! I got this for 7 year old daughter for her 7th birthday as the age recommendation for this is 6 and up.It’s obviously not Lego grade bricks and there is a slight cheap feeling to the plastic used; the eyes are nicely put on, however. I got the Mew version, which I found fairly quick and easy to build: looking at the other two it seems to be the easiest. From complex builds for adults to playsets filled with adventures for kids, there are plenty of sets coming soon from a range of themes and appealing to different interests. The parts are quite small and there are a lot of them so, to avoid them getting lost, we put them into some plastic takeaway containers; we could then safely put the lids on after a building session. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
