About this deal

Water is pumped in at one end, through the heating system and over the heat-exchanger fins, then out of the other end to your tap, when the required temperature is achieved. Hot water systems Each to their own of course but what is going to go wrong with one method that couldn't equally go wrong with the other. The OP specifically mentions low pressure with 'mains water running into the caravan'. Without clarity as to what that means or how it is achieved it is difficult to answer. You seem to have discounted all but an aquaroll with a submersible pump. http://www. caravantalk. co. uk/community/topic/103223-whale-aquasource-failed-after-8th-day-of-use/ Also lots of people get along fine with them, so I guess it's your choice. The one thing I would say is that if you have an onboard pump, make sure you have a bypass valve setup. The pressure is not good for some diaphragm pumps or inline filters.

One important point to bear in mind is that on grass pitches, you should never drain very hot water straight onto the grass before you leave – for obvious reasons! Priming the system Systems vary between van brands, but the logic is usually similar. Many feature a selector switch, which changes the water source from an external one (Aquaroll/Waterhog) to the internal fresh-water tank. Suitable for use with caravans and motorhomes with either microswitch or pressure switch systems. Regulates mains water pressure to nominal 1.5 bar (max. 1.8 bar). Ideal for use in UK and European Parks with mains water hook-up facilities.Important Please Note: To use the Aquasource Caravan Mains Water Hook Up with an onboard Smartflo® pump, the inlet strainer (if included with the pump) must be removed. Yes, the clamped water pipe work was blown clean off the fittings on my previous Bailey Ranger by using the aquasource pressure regulator. It’s perfectly safe to drink UK tap water in a caravan with a well-maintained water system, but we use a large bottled-water canister for drinking water, to ensure a perfect cup of tea! A smart fix for this, devised by DIY guru Rod Farrendon, makes use of a product called Pipesnaps. These are rigid, split plastic tubes, designed to be clipped on to household pipes for decorative purposes. Hello, I have a 2020 Bailey Unicorn Vigo and I am connecting it directly to the mains water tap on the pitch using a Whale Aquasource Mains Connector. I thought this would be a good idea, as it means I wouldn’t need an Aquaroll.

Hi, everyone. Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated. Just starting second year caravanning with new Bailey U2 Cadiz. Are we likely to get a better water pressure in the caravan if we used a Aquaroll with the supplied 12 V water pump system & ditch the Aquasource connection? Are there any settings/adjustments that can be made to the Alde water heater, incoming water? Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks Bailey fit their pump etc. ,. on a plastic tray with drain holes to the outside so a small reasonably slow leak will probably not do internal caravan damage. .. better than some other makers! To avoid it stagnating, water should not be left in any water tank for more than two or three days if it’s not being circulated, because there’s the potential for microbes to build up.

If you want to use one then it's your call, but if it fails and blows a pipe internally then it can make a BIG mess.
