I’m not a mechanic by any stretch but since buying the disco I’ve had to learn a a fair few new skills so I’m not adverse to giving this a go but as its the brakes I don’t want to start something that is way out of my league especially as its the brakes! That kit doesn't look the greatest quality. You want proper individual split dies rather than that rather ropey looking wing nut and bar affair. The pipe set received today for the DB2 will fit perfectly. Thank you for the speed, efficiency and courtesy of your service." Yours sincerely, P. Livemore While I opted for stainless steel, they also do mild steel as originally equipped, if you're going full concours. Our new vapour and sweat free hose range designed for motorsport. Easy self assembly and around half the weight of 200 & T9 series. Just a little note to express my satisfaction regarding your supply of a complete brake line set for my Fiat 500. The lines went in easily, bent nicely into shape and the dimensions were exact. Little extras, highly appreciated: nice box containing the parts, protective caps, each line individually marked and using the number scheme made identification a breeze. To anyone requiring brake lines I will definitely recommend Automec." Mr. H Van Triest I bought Kunifer brake pipes for my restoration. But I will stay with steel pipes because there are original. The copper looks in my opinion a little bit like poorly restored..This is my opinion. NSRA Members enjoy discounted entry to NSRA events, a specialised insurance scheme and valuation service, supplier discounts, full access to the NSRA’s on-line Forum, The cost difference is minimal and is a no brainer really, Volvo were the first to use it on production cars i believe.

My Z is 18 years and has advisories on its last mot for corrosion of the front steel brake pipes. I had a good look around the rear end of the car and there where brake lines in some places around the nearside wheel arch and above the diff where the integrity looked dubious. Hence my next challenge, could all of the rear fixed steel brake pipes be replaced with Kunifer having access to only a set of car ramps and axle stands? I searched the forums and found plenty of good general information on replacing brake lines generally and the tools required but nothing I could find to specific to guide me. Goods news is that it can be done. Having recently retired must admit I have the time to spend doing this hence scope eventually turned out to be:

Cleanliness to EN12449/12451 which exceeds BLS.30.JC.101. and conforms to DIN74234. All our tube is drawn in the U.K I have heard stories of copper not being suitable but all the local motor factors only sell copper and I've seen copper pipes fitted by garages. My point was that there are known failures with copper but not with Kunifer and Kunifer is only a few pounds more so why take the chance !!!
