About this deal

I would really recommend this book. If you like hilarious, amazing and outstanding stories this book is just for you. The review of the eight year old boy in our house … "Can I keep it to give to a friend?" Best recommendation you can get' Observer Applicability of cancellation rights: Legal rights of cancellation under the Distance Selling Regulations available for UK or EU consumers do not apply to certain products and services. Barry Loser is a madcap illustrated series for kids aged 6+ and a must-read for any child that loves silly books.

There’s a FIFA Football World Cup coming up in case you didn’t notice (this review was written a week prior to the Russia World Cup 2018). That means there are lots of tie-in football-related books getting released. This is one of them. If you don’t believe me then look at the opening sentence: “Ever since the World Cup started, everyone in school has been comperleeterly into football.” My mum’s embarrassing enough just being my mum, but now she’s won The Voice of Feeko’s competition it’s even worse.’ Barry’s mum has become a bit of celebrity, and now he can’t go anywhere without seeing a poster of her eating a chocolate digestive or wiggling her bum in a pair of jeans. It’s so annoy-embarrassing, and everyone at school is making fun of him. But you can’t keep Barry down for long . . . With the help of his napkin collection, new girl Nancy Verkenwerken and a snail called Snailypoos, Barry is determined to prove once and for all that he is not a loser. The book is funny how it puts, essentially, a football coach into the environs of a school. It is also funny how the kids all have Tamagotchi-style toys that need looking after, but that actually keep them busy as if they real-life babies. For example kids are really sleepy coming into school because these things have been crying all night needing to be looked after. The bestselling, award-winning Barry Loser series is ten years old and Barry, Bunky, Nancy and the gang are off on a series of new adventures – in full colour graphic novel format and with ‘how to draw’ sections to help you make your own comic books! Written and illustrated by Jim Smith, the series has been awarded the Royal Dahl Funny Prize for the Funniest Book for I am Still Not a Loser. With silly jokes, pranks, funny drawings and plenty of burps and farts, the Barry Loser books are perfect for fans of Captain Underpants, Tom Gates and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.My mum and dad are so busy looking after my brand new baby brother, Desmond Loser the Second, that sometimes I wonder if they even know I exist.’ In 2010, Jim launched the hugely successful Waldo Pancake range of stationery and gift products, now sold in the UK, Australia, Singapore, Europe and the US. Brand new adventures for Barry Loser in this new series of full colour graphic novels - perfect for fans of DogMan, Bunny vs Monkey and Kitty Quest Perfect for readers aged 7-10 years old and fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Tom Gates, Dennis the Menace and Pamela Butchart's Wigglesbottom Primary series.

Three amazekeel stories, including one where Barry's dad turns into a vending machine, and all Barry has to do is 'press his buttons' to get exactly what he wants, and another where hearing the most boring story in the world has a disastrous effect of Barry's mind and body... The sale of customised goods or perishable goods, sealed audio or video recordings, or software, which has been opened. You know when someone's horrible to you in a dream and you wake up really annoyed with them? That’s what happened to me with my best friend Bunky. After graduating with a first class degree in advertising, graphic design and illustration in 1997, Jim Smith was spotted by the owner of a small coffee shop chain and brought in to fill the walls of their flagship store with his paintings. Only problem with this is that Loser is rubbish at football. So he proposes he be their football coach instead, which doesn’t enthuse everyone but he pushes it through nonetheless. Cue Loser bossing them all around and the friends all falling out with him. “He’s losing it, Schmendrix… The kid’s not fit to be Coach!” It was a three month contract; seventeen years later, Jim is head of design at Puccino's Worldwide Ltd, now an international coffee shop franchise with stores in the UK, Europe and Egypt.

Anyway this book by Jim Smith (whilst on the football theme, not to be confused with the other Jim Smith – the former football manager of Derby County and Portsmouth) sees Barry Loser agree that he and his mates, much to their chagrin, will partake in a big football match against Avocado Hill, “the posh little village that sits on top of a slope overlooking Mogden Town”, the place Loser (as Barry Loser is commonly referred to) lives. Brand new adventures for Barry Loser in this new series of full colour graphic novels – perfect for fans of DogMan, Bunny vs Monkey and Kitty Quest It’s Barry’s birthday and his mum and dad have bought him the amazekeel new gaming helmet he wanted – The Shnozinator 9000! It’s the best birthday present ever . . . until his baby brother breaks it and ruins everything.

Hobbies

Everyone at Barry’s school has gone football crazy, but Barry gets thrown out of the team (the Mogden Maniacs) for being completeerly rubbish. Then it turns out that his best friend Bunky is a super striker – so Barry becomes his manager. The cup final match is approaching and Bunky’s getting carried away with his football fame – can Barry keep his head in the game?
